In an effort to “bring sunshine” to our surrounding communities, our company has created “The Sunshine Committee.” This committee is actually a group of our own employees who search for events that we can participate in as a group and help others. Our goal is to raise money or lend a helping hand for worthy causes. In doing so, we’ve found that this is also a great way to get to know your co-workers outside of the workplace.
For our first event, we participated in the Long Beach Waterfront Warriors 5k walk/run. We all had a great time running or walking for such a great cause; which is to bring happiness to the selfless veterans who have fought for the freedom of our country.
