HUDSON RIVER WHITEWATER RAFTING

Enjoy 15-miles of action-packed breathtaking rapids in the Adirondacks.   Located in Upstate NY’s Adirondack Mountain range, the Hudson River is a great place for some family fun.  Trips are available every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from April through October.  You can find out more information here.

SHELTER ISLAND

About 90 miles east of New York City, you’ll feel worlds away.  For under $20, you can catch a ferry from Greenport or North Haven.  Shelter Islands “zen-vibe” offers acres of natural protected preserves, quiet bays and casual eateries. Spend the day wandering the Mashomack Preserve or chill out at one of the 6 beaches.  Spend the evening unwinding with a cocktail and breathtaking views at Sunset Beach.

HBO MOVIE NIGHTS IN BRYANT PARK

HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival features films under the stars.  Movies are shown on a large screen in Bryant Park on Monday nights from June through August.  Pack a blanket and cozy up on the lawn to enjoy great food, friends, and a feature film. Lawn opens 5pm and film begins at sunset.

SURF & TURF SEAFOOD FESTIVAL

What better way to soak up the sun this summer than with an ocean-fresh lobster roll, followed by some clam chowder and coconut shrimp?  There’s fun for the kids too at this fest in Oceanport, NJ.  Fill their day with FREE pony rides, face painting, a bouncy house, and more!  Find out more information on the event here.

GLAMPING IN ITHACA

Indulge in good food, fine wine, and all types of culinary delights and events during New Jersey’s 23rd Cape May Food & Wine Celebration. Visitors can enjoy fine wines and delicious dining experiences. This event takes place on September 13-21.

SUMMERSTAGE
