Meet Our Team

Call or Text SeanSean joined the Mackoul team in 2026 in our Commercial department. Prior to transitioning into the insurance industry, he worked as a junior mechanic in the electrical field. During his time at Mackoul, he has applied his previous hands-on experience in residential electrical work and is constantly developing a strong foundation in risk assessment and loss control. Sean received a Bachelor of Arts in English from SUNY New Paltz in 2018 and loves to spend his free time reading, going to the gym, and writing and playing music.

 

Get to Know Sean

Why did you go into insurance? What do you enjoy most?

I got into insurance as a transition out of the electrical field due to a recommendation from a family member. I enjoy the fact that precision and attention to detail are rewarded. It is always a pleasure interacting with the insured clientele, and it keeps each day unique.

What’re your favorite songs on your playlist?

Letters From War by Mark Schultz or Mozart’s piano Concerto No.23 in A Major, K 488.

Who would you like to meet?

I would’ve loved to have met W.S Merwin, one of my favorite contemporary poets and conservationists.

What is the one thing you cannot do without?

My guitar and piano, and music in general. There isn’t a day that goes by where I am not reading, writing, or playing music.

What is your favorite travel spot?

I love visiting my sister in Summerville, South Carolina. The landscape is beautiful, the weather is warm, and the people are generous and kind.

What character trait do you most admire?

Being steadfast. I admire when someone can conceive a plan of action and follow through with it despite any difficulty that might come his or her way.
