Katelyn De Freitas came onboard with 15 years of insurance experience. She began her career in the industry as a Workers’ Compensation Claims Assistant. Looking for professional growth and a change of pace, she decided to accept a position as a Commercial Umbrella Underwriter. While she excelled in this role and enjoyed underwriting very much, she felt it was time for something new after seven years. Katelyn joined the Mackoul team in 2024. She is licensed in Property & Casualty and intends to further her education. In her free time, Katelyn loves to be outdoors. Whether it’s spending the day at the beach, going for a hike, fishing, camping, going to a Mets game or having a BBQ, she is happiest feeling the sun and fresh air. She is a huge animal lover and has a rescue dog named Pedro. She enjoys spending time with her family & friends, traveling to new places, and learning new things.
