As a part of the Long Island Insurance Community (LIIC), we are proud to be a part of the “Operation Live United” movement in support of military families.
“Operation Live United” is an event organized every year on June 14th by United Way. It is a way for local companies to help raise money that “will provide military personnel who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan with emergency financial aid, case management and job training/employment assistance” (www.unitedwayli.org).
We are so excited to be a part of this movement and support United Way’s Military Family Assistance Project as part of our Community Service initiative here at Mackoul & Associates, Inc. We would also like to wish everyone a Happy Flag Day! This holiday commemorates the birth of the American Flag in 1777 and the birth of the American Continental Army in 1775. In celebration of Flag Day, it is customary to fly your American Flag at your home or business for the entire week.
