Did you know that even if a storm doesn’t produce a surge of heavy rain or hail, you may have received damage to your property?

Here are some guidelines on how to look for hail damage following a storm.

  • Look for dents, cracks or holes on windows, screens, doors and outside furniture.
  • Survey the inside of the property to make sure there are no water leaks caused by the storm.
  • Inspect your car for cracked or broken window glass or dents caused by hail.
  • Be safe when checking roof damage. Consider using binoculars to survey the damage or call a professional.

Take action.

You should immediately take pictures before making any repairs. Take multiple photos of different angles to accurately show the damage.

Call Your Insurance Agency.

No matter how much damage you receive, you should call your insurance agency to report the damage. They will able to advise you on the next steps to take.
