Hello April, Hello Second Quarter: Time To Revisit Your Yearly Goals

“Action is the foundational key to success.”

Pablo Picasso

Welcome to the beginning of the second quarter of the year! It’s a great time to revisit the goals you made in January and see how far you’ve come at this point. Reflect on the past few months gone by: the triumphs you achieved, the time you shared with family and friends and the good choices you made in business. Also, look back and acknowledge the things that challenged you and the things that did not go so well. Look at how far you’ve come on the path to achieving your goals and readjust your strategy if you haven’t achieved the results you expected this far.

For more on setting goals, read our blog article “Inspire and Empower Yourself with Goals in 2012.”

You may have encountered obstacles or setbacks at this point. This is normal! If we didn’t have obstacles to overcome along the way we wouldn’t learn and grow. Shake off your hesitations and take a step towards fulfilling at least one of your goals this week and set some reminders in your email or phone calendar to move you into action later on.

To help make this year your best ever, read the suggestions below:

1. Challenge yourself

2. Find the “love factor” in what you do

3. Dedicate quality time to achieving your goals

4. Step out of your comfort zone

5. Be passionate about what you do or what you want to do

6. Serve others with a smile

7. Don’t let the small stuff hold you back

8. Live with integrity

9. Show gratitude

10. Celebrate success

11. Be positive

Here are some good quotes to inspire you into achieving those goals you set out for in the beginning of the year:

“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly”

Robert F. Kennedy

“Have confidence in yourself and what [or where] you want to be. You can’t become who you were meant to be if you’re so busy trying to live your life by someone else’s ideas.”

Oprah Winfrey

“If you want to increase your rate of success, you better be prepared to increase your rate of failure.”

Thomas Watson
